2Bytes perform CAD development for a range of various CAD vendors and customers. While we understand the nuts and bolts of how CAD software packages are programmed, it’s safe to say we do our most creative work for customers who have already purchased a CAD package and require some sort of customisation. Our specialty is in AutoCAD, Inventor and Vault and we have completed a lot of work in this area, especially with regards Job Processor systems to support lifecycle and back-end processes for Autodesk Vault. We can develop in any language from simple work in AutoLISP, through to complete Job Processor systems developed in C# on the .NET platform.

It all depends on what you need done. We can quote work by the hour for small packages of work, or a fixed rate for larger projects. We are happy to use our consultation services to develop a specification for your business so you know exactly what we are going to do, how we are going to test and deploy the solution and what it’s going to do for you business long before you commit to anything.

Yes, we have done a lot of this over the years. Whether the interface be a Numerical Control code interface, or something higher or lower level, we specialise in understanding what the manufacturing process requires and building an interface for it.

Yes, this is something we have focused on for many years. Nearly all businesses suffer from a lack of connectivity or continuity in business practices. Our best value to your business is to take your existing systems and streamline the flow of data between them, minimising the requirement for data re-entry. This way, you don’t have to contemplate the expensive task of new product purchase, training and the “pain of change” that goes with this.

It doesn’t matter. All software has a way of getting the data out of it. In some cases, we have had to revert to building systems to “take control” of the software with no interface to extract data from various dialogs and build our own interface to automate processes. In such a case it’s analogous to what you might contemplate manually, writing down information from the software to a writing pad and then re-entering it into another system manually. The only difference is that we automate that task without the risk of data transposition and other such errors. Nothing is impossible.
